Two years following the release of their promising self-titled debut, Belgian progressive/post-metal group ATMOSPHERES return with a new album entitled “The Departure”.

The result of two years of meticulous compositional craft and dedication to transcend any stylistic limitations, “The Departure” marks the next evolutionary stage in Atmospheres’ sound, offering an exhilarating, engaging and dynamic sound that incorporates elements from a broad musical spectrum. The tracks describe the quivering idea of mankind being forced to evacuate earth, the album feels really different than the previous self-titled 2014 release, without losing the core and familiar sound.

With “The Departure”, the four-piece group reveal an extraordinary talent in combining beautiful ambiences and melodies with crunchy riffs and complex arrangements, resulting in ten wildly inventive tracks that will certainly stun and delight fans of progressive rock and post-metal all over the planet.
