Their debut album The Summer Is You is released in the US on Fluttery Records on December 14th 2012.

Neko Nine’s post-rock / post-metal aesthetics are made of peaceful melodies & distorted harsh guitars, atmospheric sound space and nasty drum beats. Their music also contains unique results of the experimentation of new possibilities for post-rock sounds. Mixing piano breaks with hip-hop drum samples and  swirling string arrangements in succession really caught my ear to these guys.  While some songs are are the slower, relaxed side of the spectrum, Neko Nine isn’t afraid to light a fire under you and wake you right up. There’s a great amount of instrumentation on the album and I think that’s what makes this album stand out from the others in the post-rock scene.

Key Tracks: Supernova, NeverNeverNever, Let Me Explode, Colours of the Universe
