Portland, Oregand’s dynamic indie-folk-rock band Typhoon have released a trailer for their upcoming album White Lighter to be released sometime next year.

The band draws many comparisons from the ‘indie’ category like Of Monsters and Men, Arcade Fire, and Bright Eyes. Most songs featuring an orchestra of up to 14 members featuring horns, various percussion instruments on top of swelling guitars and heartfelt vocal choir harmonies all lead by frontman Kyle Morton.

Directed by Matthew Thomas Ross and written by Kyle Morton, here’s the teaser for Typhoon’s forthcoming album White Lighter:

The band also recently released a 7″ vinyl titled Common Sentiments

Common Sentiments is the triumphant first single from Typhoon’s forthcoming full-length, White Lighter (coming in 2013). This 7″ vinyl record includes the B-side “Green”. These 2 songs were engineered and produced by the band at Pendarvis Farm in Portland, Oregon and mixed by the legendary Phil Ek (Built To Spill, Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes) at Avast! in Seattle
