Canadian rock band Big Wreck (1994-2002) have reunited with frontman Ian Thornley for a new album. Big Wreck is known for the song “The Oaf” (video below) which peaked at #9 in the US, and #3 in CA on the Mainstream Rock Bilboard charts in 1997. The album “In Loving Memory Of…” went 2x Platinum in Canada.

 

Since the deformation of Big Wreck, frontman Ian Thornley released 2 albums under his new band “Thornley” and had success with the 2004 album “Come Again” (Roadrunner) with the single “So Far So Good” peaking at #15 on the Mainstream Rock Bilboard charts.  Followed up by the 2009 album “Tiny Pictures” (Universal) which had no singles released in the US yet peaked at #13 on Canadian Top Albums.

 

Ian Thornley is largely under the radar in the US yet continues to play shows and clubs across Ontario.
